Mary Parnell, owner and photographer for Picklepuss Photography in Malvern, PA, started studying photography 21 years ago and earned a BS in Communications and Minor in Photography from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. 

Her professional experience includes portrait, studio, commercial photography and photo journalism work.  Along with a laid back attitude and continued life experience she has evolved a specialty in children's portraits and family portrait photography.

Mary, mother of two, finds the experience of motherhood invaluable to her art. She says, "Motherhood has proven as important to me as my technical training.  I've learned skills to redirect children and to encourage these wonderful little people to play along during photography sessions.  I want them to have fun and relax."

Mary enjoys slipping into childhood play and conversation - capturing curiosity, silliness, sassy personalities, tender moments and candid children's photographs.  Clients delight in the number of gleaming lil' smiles they find in their photography proof set.
